BOTOX

Removal:

  • of mimic (dynamic) face wrinkles, especially area between the eyebrows, around the eyes and on the forehead
  • of over sweating, especially in armpit areas and palms etc.
  • of some types of wrinkles on the neck

Dysport is a solvent that has therapeutic formulae of the substance known as botulin (botulinum toxin) which prevents muscle contraction.

Botulin is used in very small dosages in esthetic dermatology for removal of wrinkles (mimic) and for preventing over sweating.

Dysport stops the connection between a nerve and a muscle for a certain period of time, thus preventing the mimic movement of the face muscles. Because one cannot move the muscles, wrinkles are disabled and surface of the skin is tight.

The solution is being applied by a small, thin needle. Minimal dosage is being injected into the skin’s surface that needs to be treated. Treatment is done locally, it’s not unpleasant and it doesn’t acquire a lot of time. Preparation of the patient before procedure is not necessary.

Effect of Dysport usually starts at the first week and last for 3 to 6 months after the first treatment. After this period effect gradually diminishes and another treatment is advised.

After long period of not using those muscles, the patient is already used not to make facial expressions, as frowning. In addition, after repeated treatment the muscles function is less and gradually the wrinkles vanish.

Repeated treatment makes the period of desired effect longer up to 6 months and more.
Moreover, Dysport can be combined with injected implants or laser flattening (“ironing”) of the skin.

Oversweating

Armpit area, palms, forehead, shoulders, groins and back of the neck are at most liable to sweating. In this case, Dysport influences sweat glands. This treatment reduces or stops sweating and it usually lasts 7 to 12 months.
