RADIOWAVE DERMATOSURGERY

Radiowave dermatosurgery is a part of dermatosurgery applied for fine interventions on the skin. We use ELLMAN ( New York) radiowave equipment (main supplier for this kind of a machine). With the help of high frequency electromagnetic waves with 4 MHz frequency finer cuts are possible than with any scalpel, efficient hemostasis (arrest of bleeding), evidently fast wound healing and completely acceptable esthetic results.

Radiowave surgery is ideal method for removal of the benign skin tumors Ø 45 mm; we have an internal rule that any change we eliminate is not larger than 7 mm.
The following diagnostic entities are qualified for radiowave surgery: Keratosisactinica (solar keratosis), Keratosisseborrhoica, Fibroma molle (soft fibroma, hanging warts), MorbusBowen, Naevuspigmentosus (pigment moles), Haemangioma (benign red tumor vascular genesis), Xanthelasma (fat deposits), Granulomapyogenicum, Cystasebacealis (sebaceous cyst), Syringoma (benign tumors originated from sweat glands), Telangiectasiae (spider veins), Verrucae (warts), Condylomataacuminata (genital warts), Mollusca contagiosa, Unguis incarnatus (ingrown toenail).

Biopsy tissue samples accessed by radiosurgery are taken without hurting any tissue around and it is equally usable sample for PH (pathohistology) as one obtained by standard surgery. Biopsy sample can be obtained by nuse (total „shave“method) and soft tissue sculpturing in order to get optimum scar i.e. healing without any esthetic changes of the skin.

Radio surgery gives an opportunity for very thin cuts and coagulations with the tip of the needle. Advanced radiowave technology combines good surgical control, high accuracy and safety for the patient. High frequency of 4 MHz minimizes heat spreading, thus cell alterations that is trauma for nearby tissue. Good sides of this procedure are fewer post operational discomforts, better wound healing, scar put down to the minimum, which is a priority in dermosurgery.

Surgeries are performed using local anesthetics where it is injected with the insulin syringe or applied with spray. In some small procedures, where application of the anesthetic has the same pain intensity as the procedure itself, we choose to proceed without one.

All surgical fields in medicine like plastic and reconstructive surgery, otorhynolaringology, ophthalmology, vascular surgery, orthopedics, oral surgery, maxillofacial surgery, neurosurgery, gynecology, urology and dermatology with small surgical procedures, have great success with this practical method when there are exact indication for it.
